Fueled by a musician's desire for fresh creative expression, I stumbled into photography in 2007. While rocking out as a multi-instrumentalist in my early twenties, I craved new ways to connect. My band's success - from music festivals to massive overseas gigs - brought incredible experiences and a thirst for more.
A spur-of-the-moment purchase on eBay, a semi-pro Canon 40D, opened my eyes to the magic of capturing genuine connections. But fancy equipment didn't guarantee great photos. I knew, coming from music, that there was more to it than just hitting a button. So, I took every chance to shoot - family gatherings, friend outings, weddings - constantly honing my craft. Every click fueled my passion, pushing me out of my comfort zone and into challenges that made me the photographer I am today, forever a student of the art.
